Hello,  Friend, 

Near the end of my visit to Mustard Seed, in October, Ramadan (S-4) approached me with an idea. The school had given him so much, and he wanted to give something back. His gift? A design for Mustard Seed's very first school flag. 

His written proposal explained the meaning behind the design: Blue represents both the sky and the secondary school's blue uniforms. Green symbolizes the lush campus and the primary school's green uniforms. In the center sits the school's logo.

I'm excited to help make Ramadan's idea a reality this school year. He's not alone among students in finding a way to contribute and make their mark at the school they love—so heartwarming.
