Bosco, a Mustard Seed graduate and environmental engineer, uses satellite internet to send a message of peace during Uganda's national internet shutdown.

Warm Greetings Friend,

You may remember Bosco's incredible journey from a young boy with a physical disability at Mustard Seed to a professional environmental engineer. This morning, I was delighted to see a WhatsApp message from him.

Since Tuesday, the Ugandan government has shut down all internet and mobile services, leaving the country in a digital blackout that most of us can hardly imagine. Elections, which took place yesterday, were the reason for the shutdown. However, Bosco managed to access satellite internet, making him the only one able to communicate with us since Tuesday.

He reported that Lukaya and all the areas he traveled through were peaceful during the election. He said that official results will be declared tomorrow, and we hope to see mobile and internet services restored shortly after. We are so grateful for this "slice of life" update and for Bosco's resourcefulness. Stay tuned—I have some exciting news from Mustard Seed to share with you next week!

Gratefully,
Elaine
