Welcome to your monthly round-up from Cambridge Film Festival.

This year's Festival runs from 22 October to 1 November, and we're building the team that makes it happen. Internships close next Thursday, 20 August. Volunteering is open now, and Reel Voices closes on 2 September.

Here's how to get involved...

Internships at CFF45: apply by Thursday 20 August

Applications close on Thursday 20 August.

We're offering internships for people who want to build a career in film. This year, we're offering roles in Festival Production & Hospitality and Marketing & Outreach, both based in and around Cambridge.

Our internships give you a real part in planning and delivering the Cambridge Film Festival. The 2026 Internship Pack on our website has full details, testimonials from previous interns, key dates and how to apply.

Would you like to be part of this year's Cambridge Film Festival?

Volunteer applications for CFF45 are now open. Whether you're passionate about cinema, interested in gaining hands-on experience in festival and event delivery, or just looking to meet like-minded people, we'd love to hear from you.

No previous experience is needed. What matters is enthusiasm and reliability.

Reel Voices is open, and our partnership with ARU continues

We're delighted to announce the renewal of our education partnership with Anglia Ruskin University.

Together, we'll continue creating opportunities for aspiring filmmakers, critics, and film lovers through free workshops, industry talks, mentoring, and hands-on experience at the Festival.

The first of those opportunities is back now. Reel Voices, our film criticism mentoring scheme, is open for applications until 2 September.

Thank you to Sustainable Tech 4 Good

As we begin planning for the new term of our Youth Lab, we'd like to say a huge thank you to Sustainable Tech 4 Good for their generous donation of equipment.

Sustainable Tech 4 Good works with businesses to repair and repurpose technology, giving it a second life by donating it to charities and people who need it most. We're incredibly grateful for their support—this equipment will make a real difference to our activities and help us offer even more opportunities for the young people we work with.
