We’re delighted to announce that Clio Barnard’s I See Buildings Fall Like Lightning will open the 45th Cambridge Film Festival, with Clio Barnard joining us in Cambridge for the screening.

One of Britain’s most distinctive filmmakers, Barnard returns with a moving new film exploring friendship, home and the changing shape of a community.

We’re thrilled to open this year’s Festival with the best British film of the year, and we're especially excited to welcome Clio to Cambridge to introduce it in person and take part in a post-screening Q&A.

Tickets for I See Buildings Fall Like Lightning (along with everything else in CFF45) will go on sale on September 30th
