Tilda Swinton & Sally Potter - Orlando

legendary filmmaker Sally Potter comes to Cambridge

The 42nd Cambridge Film Festival is rolling on with incredible cinematic gems, and coming up on Wednesday evening is a screening bound to leave a lasting impression—the timeless ORLAND as brought to life by the brilliant Sally Potter.

We are beyond thrilled that Sally Potter will join us in person for an audience Q&A post-screening. This is a rare opportunity to delve into the creative mind that orchestrated this magnificent feature. Her insights promise to add a layer of depth to the ORLANDO experience, making it an event etched in the annals of the Cambridge Film Festival.

Sally has spoken many times about how Powell and Pressburger's work has influenced and reflected her own perspectives on identity and history. She wrote a dedication to Michael Powell (her dear friend) at the film's end. This deep connection to Powell & Pressburger makes ORLANDO a perfect inclusion in our "Through the Looking Glass" Strand.

Austin Butler & Jodie Comer - The Bikeriders

so much still to come at CFF42

While tickets are selling fast for many of the films in the Festival, there is still time to grab a seat at one of these upcoming highlights!

Jeff Nichols' latest offering is THE BIKERIDERS, in which an all-star cast, which includes Tom Hardy, Austin Butler, and Jodie Comer, tells the story of the rise and fall of a 60's Chicago biker gang.

Molly Manning Walker's spectacular HOW TO HAVE SEX has garnered immense praise and numerous awards at festivals across Europe since its world premiere at Cannes in May.

Truly a breakout hit of CFF42 is BINU: A TWO-STAR STORY, an unassuming (and funny) Catalan documentary about an ageing couple running a restaurant as if time had not elapsed since their glory days in the 70s, even though the customers stopped coming years ago.

Cambridge Film Festival is presented by Cambridge Film Trust, a registered charity with a mission to foster film culture and education for the benefit of the public in Cambridge and the Eastern region and throughout the UK.
