Social Innovation Focus Groups

Social innovation is the process of developing and deploying effective solutions to challenging and often systemic social and environmental issues in support of social progress.

Social impact is the effect an organization's actions have on the well-being of the community

Monique Riley, a fellow and graduate student from the School of Public Policy at University of Maryland, has joined the PGCSIF for a year to research both (note she was born and raised in Prince George’s County!). This research will be focused on how to better support social innovation and impact in the County and how the PGCSIF can build a more robust organization that scales to deliver both.

Working with Steve Brigham, (Principal at Public Engagement Associates and PGCSIF Advisory Board Member), Monique is leading a number of focus groups to get the best perspectives and thinking on how PGCSIF can best support our network, grow social innovation, and create a better ecosystem. We acknowledge that the holiday season is among us but we would love it if you would join us for one of these four focus groups They will be from 6:30-8:15pm (locations TBD):

• Tuesday, December 4
• Wednesday, December 5
• Tuesday, December 11
• Wednesday, December 12
