Correction

In an article in today’s issue of INK, we wrote, “especially when the employer can legally hire permanent replacements in a ULP strike”.
That was inaccurate. To clarify:

  • Employers can bring in permanent replacements only in an economic strike (those employees do have a recall right when replacements leave).

  • If it is a ULP strike, the employer may only temporarily replace striking workers.

Sorry for the second email, and we appreciate the chance to correct the mistake.
