Hi Friend,
Celebrity trainer and nutritionist Harley Pasternak has spent the past decade pouring over research and talking to clients, all in the name of finding a way to make it possible to stay fit and toned in the minimal time.
And what did he learn?
Harley discovered, we don’t need to spend as much time exercising as we have been led to believe. Also, regardless of your fitness levels, he found anyone can build a leaner and stronger body in a fraction of the time.
For those that don’t know, celebrity trainer and nutritionist Harley Pasternak holds a master of science degree in Exercise Physiology and Nutritional Sciences along with an honours degree in Kinesiology. He is also the go-to-guy in Hollywood, having trained such stars as Robert Downey Jr., Halley Berry and Megan Fox.
Experience in the fitness field, means he has put together a couple of key tips for better results.
They are:
1. Step Out to Success
"Try to take 10,000 steps a day and move as much as possible," Harley recommends. "Being sedentary for 23 hours then being active for one isn’t doing your body or your health any favours."
So step out to success and populate your day with micro-walks. Small periods of movement soon add up, and can make a massive difference to your activity levels.
2. Perform One Move for 5 Minutes Every Day
It’s time to ditch the marathon workouts, and focus on performing one single resistance exercise daily for at least five minutes.
Harley suggests, “Pick a different body part each day of the week, and choose a corresponding move that targets that area. The goal here is to set you up for success — and we all have the time and energy for one exercise a day. No gym or spandex needed. Just find yourself a little space to move around and get to work.”
The trainer-to-the stars promotes compound exercises, such as dumbbell shoulder lunges and deadlifts. Aim to perform these compound moves for sets of 8-12 until you reach a total training time of five minutes.
Do these tips sound familiar?
Sure they do…
This is the same stripped-back training philosophy we’ve been preaching in our books and on our site.
And Harley is right: you don’t need to spend as much time exercising as everyone has been led to believe. Also, regardless of your fitness levels, anyone can stay fit and toned in the minimal time.
Until next week,
