Hi Friend,
Last time we revealed why you don’t need tons of time to transform your physique, and showed how you can build your body in just 15 minutes.
And how do we do that? By training ‘strategically.’
But what does training strategically mean, exactly?
Well, it simply means we take advantage of those approaches and protocols that optimise maximal muscle growth. It also means, we avoid those common hurdles and traps encountered by the natural trainee — for example, the belief that more is better: more sets, more volume, more often, etc.
One such approach that boosts muscle gains is density training. Landmine complexes is a great example of this protocol, as they allow you to complete more work in less time.
Coach Brian D Johnston is a fan. With over 30 years experience in the Iron Game, this 50-year-old muscle maverick endorses 'high density training' for anyone wishing to consistently enhance their muscular appearance through resistance training.
He has this to say:
“While experimenting over the past decade with condensed volume approaches, it became obvious that training with a focus on ‘density’ was the final frontier when it came to bodybuilding for the natural trainee. It was a way of stimulating optimal growth potential, while adjusting one’s rate-of-frequency and the overall demands per workout.
“In effect, whether focusing only on one exercise or multiple exercises per body part, or whether training to failure all the time or some of the time, much could be accomplished in short order. Yes, it is possible to condense a huge training impact in a matter of minutes and take your physique to a different plateau (or keep it there as you age).”
For a lot of folks, training with a focus on density can be a real game-changer.
