As many of you may know, the AFSA Education Foundation greatly values the feedback that we get from parents, educators, and others who use the MoneySKILL program. Your input helps us keep MoneySKILL relevant, engaging, and an effective learning tool for new generations of students.
If you have not done so already, I highly encourage you to take a few minutes to complete our annual MoneySKILL Instructor Satisfaction Survey here. The comments and suggestions we receive in this survey directly inform the future of MoneySKILL.
In addition to our annual survey, the AFSA Education Foundation is also conducting virtual focus groups with MoneySKILL instructors this month as a way to gather more comprehensive feedback from different types of educators using the curriculum. We still have a few open spots in these focus groups and are offering all participants a $100 Visa gift card for their participation. If you are interested in sharing your experience with MoneySKILL in a virtual focus group, please fill out this online form by Friday, October 7 and we will contact you if you are selected to participate.

| | | | | | Is the MoneySKILL curriculum updated regularly?
Yes. We regularly make updates to MoneySKILL to reflect things such as new federal income tax rates, labor market changes, and new personal finance behaviors.

Are there any resources I can use to supplement my MoneySKILL class?
Yes. When you log in to your MoneySKILL instructor account, you will find a “Resources” link on the left-hand menu. Here you can find a few additional teaching resources to supplement your MoneySKILL class, including relevant video content and supplemental classroom activities.

Do I have to use all 37 modules (topics areas) in my MoneySKILL class?
No. MoneySKILL instructors can customize their MoneySKILL classes to include as little as one module or as many as all 37 modules. Instructors can customize which and how many modules they use in order to best meet the needs of their students.

| | Are you interested in a new opportunity to showcase your financial educator skills, earn some extra money, and help promote MoneySKILL? We are currently recruiting MoneySKILL instructors to serve as MoneySKILL Mentors at various regional educator conferences. Mentors would be expected to host MoneySKILL exhibit booths at conferences (such as state career tech events, Jump$tart Personal Financial Literacy activities, family and consumer sciences conferences, and more) and potentially deliver short MoneySKILL workshops. MoneySKILL Mentors will earn a competitive daily stipend based on conference exhibit and presentation duties as well as reimbursement for per diem expenses. At this time, we are particularly interested in individuals working in South Carolina, Texas, and Oklahoma, but encourage anyone interested to reach out regardless of location.
