A Note From Nena

Hi Nurses,

January was a full month for the NNBA community. Between new initiatives, early planning for the year ahead, and continued growth across our membership, there’s been a lot of momentum building behind the scenes!

As we move into February, NNBA remains grounded in its core purpose: supporting nurses in building careers that support their lives, not the other way around. That commitment continues to guide every decision, resource, and opportunity we create.

We also want to sincerely thank you for your patience as we continue making updates and improvements to the member experience. We’re listening closely to feedback and actively working to make things better, smoother, and more valuable for our community.

A special thank you to everyone who took the time to apply to speak at NNBA 2026. We’re currently reviewing applications and will be making decisions this week, with announcements going out no later than next week. To ensure fairness for all applicants, the speaker application deadline will not be extended.

With NNBA 2026 Early Bird Pricing now open and expanded experiences and resources rolling out, we’re excited about what’s ahead and deeply grateful to be building this community together!

With gratitude,

Nena

This recent live reflects on boundaries, particularly how they are viewed and practiced in nursing compared to entrepreneurial environments. It explores why boundaries can feel difficult, why guilt is so common, and how expectations shift outside traditional healthcare settings. The discussion offers perspective for those questioning long-held norms.
