| Growth marketing has seen a significant rise over the last few years, especially in the era of social media where audience reach is wider than ever. Rather than focusing on short-term success, growth marketing works across the entire customer life cycle, from engaged follower to customer to brand champion. As industry leaders, the members of Forbes Business Council understand how important growth marketing is, especially during difficult times. Below, they share 16 trends that should be on your radar as a business leader.
1. The Virtual Upskilling Market
Nowadays, particularly with the current pandemic that the world is facing, more and more businesses need to pivot from a physical presence to an online business. More and more, consumers are finding experts that can help them learn new ways to acquire products, skills and services. They will pay for upskilling from those who can help them virtually or while keeping a safe distance.

| Once you’ve hung your shingle as a freelance nurse-writer (woot!), you need to constantly nurture your business so it flourishes. Without goal-setting, that’s just not gonna happen. How do you juggle client work with prospecting with invoicing with negotiating with updating your website with cooking dinner with helping the kids with homework with making sure the dog gets walked with…
It’s exhausting just to contemplate.
The key, of course, is goal-setting. In this post, I’m going to walk you through several techniques to help you find a goal-setting method that works for you. Because, as with so many things, the precise technique you use is less important than finding a technique you’ll actually stick with and use to advance you to your goals.
Before I dive in, I want to emphasize that any goal can be reached by taking multiple paths.

| What does Daymond John think about first thing every morning? "I wake up thinking about how blessed I am to have health, good friends, and family," says the founder and CEO of FUBU and investor on ABC's Shark Tank. "I think about what's going on in the streets and how I can be a positive influence over people of all colors. I think about where I am, what businesses are working and which are not," he says. "Then, I fall back to sleep because I'm tired."
Tired or not, John is working hard--even during a quarantine and against a backdrop of social and economic upheaval.
In fact, as John told Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk during a Real Talk: Business Reboot streaming event on June 9, he sees this as the perfect time to get to work.
"You've got to look at your advantages right now," John says.
