Dear Nurses,

Last week the Consumer Electronics Show, CES2020, took over Las Vegas. CES is the world's gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. Healthcare Technology always has a big presence at CES, and that's no different in 2020. While CES 2019 was all about sleep, robots, and wearables -- this year brought new intriguing products that confirm that tech will continue to change the healthcare experience at the doctor's office, and at home. The healthcare marketplace is undergoing tremendous change, and healthcare delivery systems are being disrupted. Nurses are on the frontline of healthcare. By understanding tech advances, and increasing digital health, nurses will be able to take the lead in re-framing their roles. There is more info on this in our articles of interest below.

Stay tuned for our February 1st newsletter where we announce NNBA2020 Keynote Speakers and Topics! Hundreds of nurses view NNBA’s annual educational conference on entrepreneurship and career alternatives as a launch point for designing their career over the next several years. The strategies learned, and the connections made with like-minded colleagues and established and successful business owners, give nurses resources they can trust as they pivot their careers into owning and expanding their own business. Place September 25-27th on your calendars to join us and celebrate NNBA’s 35th Anniversary.

What Trends at CES Could Mean for Future Digital Health shares some of the main happenings in healthcare marketplace. The Small Business Marketing Insights for 2020 shares 5 valuable customer insights, so everyone’s business performs better in the new year. Jack Canfield, author of hundreds of Chicken Soup for the Soul® books and one of my favorites, The Success Principles, provides great recommendations in this brief YouTube, Setting Your Goals for 2020. I really liked his comments on “quantum” goals, and I think you will too. Be bold with those resolutions for your New Year!

Unconventionally yours,

If you have a small business, it's essential to keep up with the latest trends in technology, marketing, customer service and other areas that affect your business. Each business is unique, so every trend doesn't necessarily impact you equally. However, all major trends do influence your customers' expectations, so it's good to be up to date.

Here are some of the most significant trends I'm currently seeing that will impact small businesses in 2020 and beyond.

Customers are increasingly looking to patronize businesses that follow sustainable, green and socially responsible practices. As Gallup reported earlier this year, younger customers of the millennial and Gen Z generations are especially concerned about such values.
It's that time of year again when you get to look back and see what you accomplished this previous year, and then look to what you want to set for goals for next year. Watch this video for ways to approach your goals in 2020 and commit to reaching them. I’ll share the three proven things you must do to increase your success with achieving your goals!
