Subject: Is business feeling a little....... weird?

You’re probably not the only one noticing it.

Hi Friend,

August is a weird month to own a business.

Half of your clients are squeezing in one last vacation. The other half are trying to remember what day school starts... Emails may sit unanswered a little longer. Calendars get shuffled around. People who said “let’s circle back next week” seem to have disappeared into the abyss. 😐

And if you own the business, it’s very easy to make all of that mean something.

Business is slow.

I need to be doing more.

Maybe I need a new offer.

Should I lower my prices?

Why does it seem like everyone else is growing except me?

Meanwhile, it might just be August.

One of the harder parts of owning a business is learning the difference between something that actually needs your attention and the normal ebb and flow of running one.

➡️ Not every quiet week requires a pivot.

➡️ Not every unanswered email means someone isn’t interested.

➡️ Not every dip means you need to immediately come up with a new plan
➡️ Certain times of the year are slower than others

Sometimes the smartest thing you can do as a business owner is pay attention before you react.

Because September is coming.

People will get back into routines. Calendars will fill back up. Projects that were “on hold until after summer” will suddenly become urgent again.

So if things feel a little weird in your business right now, you’re probably not the only one noticing it.

Maybe nothing is wrong.

Maybe it’s just August.

Sending encouragement,
