Subject: A 30-minute Habit for CEOs to Set Yourself Up for Success

A quick look at money, opportunities, loose ends, and what actually needs to happen next week.

End This Week With a 30-Minute CEO Check-in

Hi Friend,

Before you wrap up your week, I have a little Friday exercise for you. Go somewhere quiet, set a timer for 30 minutes and give your business a quick check-in.

Spend the first 10 minutes looking at your money.

What came in this week? What went out? Are there invoices you need to send or follow up on? Any subscriptions or expenses you've been meaning to take another look at? You don't need to pull a full financial report. Just make sure you know what's happening.

For the next 10 minutes, look at your leads and conversations.

Who have you talked to lately about your business? Maybe it was a potential client, someone who mentioned a collaboration, a referral, or a person you met at an event. Is there anyone you've been meaning to follow up with? We spend so much time looking for the next opportunity that sometimes we forget about the ones already sitting in our inbox.

Use your last 10 minutes to look at everything you need to do next week.

Narrow it down to 3 things. If you could only accomplish 3 things that would actually move your business forward, what would they be?

That's your list for Monday.

One of the things I've learned over the years is that being busy and moving your business forward aren't always the same thing. There will always be another email to answer, another idea to work on, another thing you could improve, and probably another tab open on your computer.

Sometimes you just need 30 minutes to look at where you are, tie up a few loose ends, and decide where you're going next. So steal this little check-in today if you need it. And then go enjoy your weekend!
