Lively Experiment Research Drive-In
When King Charles II granted Roger Williams the charter to found the State of Rhode Island and the Providence Plantations for new found freedom, he referred to its formation as a “lively experiment.” The NASPA Region 1 Fraternity & Sorority Knowledge Community in partnership with the Northeast Greek Leadership Association (NGLA) will be hosting a “lively experiment”--a regional drive-in focused upon enhancing the research agenda in fraternity/sorority life. We hope you will join us in engaging in conversations with colleagues as we strive to promote research and assessment initiatives and support existing research on fraternities and sororities.

· 10:00am-4:00pm

Josette George Kaufman Walk.Run.Dance information
On Friday July 12, during the Phi Sigma Sigma Centennial Celebration, there will be a run/walk in memory of former NGLA Assistant Executive Director Josette Kaufman on Roosevelt Island in New York City. Josette's husband will be there to lead the walk. Details can be found here.

Interfraternal friends from around the world are invited to help Phi Sigma Sigma promote women's health and fitness. Participants will enjoy a scenic course and a great Zumba class, or those not able to attend in person can participate virtually. Participants will receive t-shirts, and there will be prizes for highest fundraiser. The event will benefit the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation to underwrite the Josette George Kaufman Leadership Series, part of the National Panhellenic Conference’s Officer Leadership Academy that is current in development.

Call for NGLA Volunteers still live
NGLA is seeking dedicated student affairs professionals on campuses and headquarters to join our volunteer ranks for the 2013-2014 academic year. Vacancies still exist for our drive-in conferences, marketing/member recruitment, newsletter, blog, recognition and Annual Conference Impact Awards teams. Not currently living in the Northeast? Not a problem! All positions are remote and only require you to have a desire to enhance the fraternal experiences of the students of our region. For more information regarding NGLA or our volunteer opportunities please visit our website at www.ngla.org or contact Tiffany Neal, Coordinator of Volunteers, at volunteer@ngla.org.
