“Not only has volunteering for NGLA provided me countless opportunities for professional development, it was how I first found my passion for student affairs when I served on Student Staff for the 2016 Annual Conference. As only a second-year student, I was nervous about forming relationships with the rest of the volunteer team, but I was proven so wrong. Even outside of the Annual Conference, NGLA creates an environment that is perfect for forming close-knit relationships with colleagues and mentors. As I worked with the team from Florida this past year, I never felt disconnected or less valued. I volunteer for NGLA because it is a phenomenal organization that is constantly working to further the fraternal movement, but also because of the lifelong friends I have made and the support I continue to receive as I progress in my professional development.”

- Valerie Luutran
“Serving the Association over the last 7 years has been a truly rewarding experience full of tremendous personal/professional development and a sense of community. The mentorship that I have received from colleagues and the mentorship I have been able to provide to our students and new professionals is my most cherished reason why I continue to volunteer. I owe so much to NGLA and I plan to continue paying that back over the next several years to come.”

Kevin Pons
“Volunteering for NGLA allows me the opportunity to give back to the fraternity and sorority community. The plus for me is the wonderful friendships I have made with the campus professionals who have shared their knowledge with me.”
