NGLA Board of Directors Leadership Update

The Northeast Greek Leadership Association is excited to welcome new members to the Board of Directors and recognize an outgoing member of the Board of Directors.
Welcome to Dr. Eric J. Simeon and Tori Succi

NGLA welcomes Dr. Eric J. Simeon and Tori Succi to the Board of Directors. They will serve a three-year term starting this June. Michael Davis, Executive Director, states, “The Board of Directors of NGLA is tasked with a number of responsibilities to ensure the long-term success of our organization. I am grateful to see two proven leaders join the NGLA network and add to our success. I am certain each of their experiences will lead NGLA towards our future achievements.”
Dr. Eric J. Simeon

Dr. Eric J. Simeon is a higher education consultant, researcher, and entrepreneur. His 20-year career in higher education has spanned roles in residence life, academic and campus life, diversity and inclusion, fraternity and sorority life, athletics, student conduct, and first-year experience. Eric earned his B.A. in Comparative Literature & Culture and his MSW (with a concentration in College Student Community Development) from Stony Brook University (SUNY). He later completed his PhD in Higher Education Administration at The Pennsylvania State University. In addition, he holds numerous certifications, has presented at conferences and training courses around the world, and has been published in multiple academic journals and professional publications.

“My interest in joining the NGLA Board of Directors is based on their commitment to cultivating the types of climates that are essential to the development of successful, sustainable, engaging, and inviting fraternity and sorority communities, as well as the philosophy that a successful FSL experience is one that is purposeful, intentional, and developmental.”

Torri Succi

Tori serves as the Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Development at the University of Connecticut. Tori earned her bachelor's in Public Relations and Dance and master's in Higher Education and Leadership Policy from Hofstra University. As a volunteer in many capacities across the field, her most rewarding role is volunteering for her own organization, Phi Sigma Sigma, as the Chapter Key Advisor to Quinnipiac’s chapter. She is super excited to be joining the NGLA Board of Directors and cannot wait to see what opportunities await to connect with the rest of our Northeast community!

“I am excited by all the potential ways I can make an impact on this community. NGLA has served as a safe haven to learn and to grow for many in the community, including myself, so having the opportunity to continue the work of others in making NGLA the best it can be is exactly why I decided to invest in this community. I look forward to working with the rest of the Board of Directors, volunteers, and community members to continue to drive the NGLA mission home.”
- Tori Succi

Farewell to Outgoing Board Member

The Northeast Greek Leadership Association offers great appreciation for Maria Quattrocchi, an outgoing board member, whose three-year term will conclude in June 2023. Michael Davis, Executive Director, states, “NGLA is incredibly fortunate to have had Maria as a member of its Board of Directors. Maria was a key component of navigating NGLA through the pandemic while helping to focus our attention on the volunteer experience. While we will certainly miss her at our board meetings, we know that she will continue to be involved with NGLA in future years.”
