Lectorials on R.A.C.E. | February 26
Our Lectorials on R.A.C.E. program, supported by Kappa Kappa Gamma, is a series of lectorials focused on Racism, Anti-Blackness, Colorism, and Equity. A lectorial is a large-scale educational program underpinned by active student-centered learning, utilizing inquiry-based and adult learning as methodologies of teaching and learning, and involving collaborative and interactive activities in place of traditional didactic lectures and tutorials. The experience is a presentation followed by interactive facilitated conversation.

New for 2022, NGLA is partnering with The Parallel Agency for the Lectorials on R.A.C.E..

“I’m thrilled for NGLA to be partnering with The Parallel Agency to continue advancing our efforts of diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism education for our community. After last year’s success of the inaugural Lectorials on R.A.C.E. program online, members of The Parallel Agency team will bring a more comprehensive approach to this year’s in-person program.”

- Michael Davis, Executive Director of NGLA

“Our team is so excited and honored to embark on a unique partnership with NGLA in a way that helps students and professionals to make meaning of this important work. This partnership provides an opportunity for everyone to listen, learn, reflect, and make a stride towards change in our communities. Prioritizing this education allows us to curate spaces that foster mutual understanding and accountability, both which align with our overall aim to #beparallel.”

- LaShatá Grayson, Executive Director & Lead Educator, The Parallel Agency
