2021 NGLA Call for Programs open until September 21
 
Be part of our inaugural NGLA Virtual Conference!
 
NGLA is looking for dynamic presentations for our Lectorials on R.A.C.E. and Critical Conversations Series as well as programming for undergraduates, graduates, and professionals.
 
* New * NGLA has created a program titled, “Lectorials on R.A.C.E.” supported by Order of Omega. This new program will focus on Racism, Anti-Blackness, Colorism, and Equity. More information about the Lectorials on R.A.C.E. may be found below.
 
The 2021 NGLA Virtual Conference is February 25 - 28, 2021.
 
Throughout the conference, several educational experiences are offered:
CRITICAL CONVERSATIONS SERIES | FRIDAY (90 Minutes)
 
The Critical Conversations Series is a series of presentations intended to engage the audience with topics that are viewed as “critical” to fraternity and sorority life in today’s context. The program format should be approximately 60 minutes of content with the remaining time available for in-session application of concepts.
LECTORIALS ON R.A.C.E. | SATURDAY (90 Minutes)
 
* New * Lectorials on R.A.C.E. supported by Order of Omega is a series of lectorials focused on Racism, Anti-Blackness, Colorism, and Equity. Presentations must be centered on the topics of Racism, Anti-Blackness, Colorism, or Equity and be relevant to students from all organizations. A lectorial is a large-scale educational program underpinned by active student-centered learning, utilizing inquiry-based and adult learning as methodologies of teaching and learning, and involving collaborative and interactive activities in place of traditional didactic lectures and tutorials.
 
Programming will be offered for both undergraduate students as well as graduate students, campus-based professionals, professional headquarters staff / volunteers, and fraternity / sorority volunteers.
UNDERGRADUATE EDUCATION PROGRAMMING | FRIDAY - SUNDAY (60 Minutes)
 
Topics for undergraduate education programs may be either broad or specific and should be applicable to a wide variety of conference attendees. Successful programs for the NGLA Virtual Conference include, but are not limited to, academic achievement, personal development and wellness, chapter development, service to others, fraternal values, health and safety (risk and harm reduction), recruitment and intake, diversity, inclusion & accessibility, and life after college.
PROFESSIONALS EDUCATION PROGRAMMING | FRIDAY - SUNDAY (60 Minutes)
 
Topics for Professionals Education Programming may be either broad or specific but must focus on the needs of professional staff attendees. The program format should be approximately 60 minutes of content. Professional staff attendees may range in experience from new to seasoned professionals and may be campus-based professionals or (inter)national office staff.
PROFESSIONALS WORKSHOP | FRIDAY - SUNDAY (90 Minutes)
 
* New since 2020 * The Professionals Workshop offers an opportunity for professionals to engage on topics viewed as integral or of emerging importance to the field of fraternity and sorority affairs. Program proposals may be either broad or specific but must focus on the needs of professional staff attendees. The program format should be approximately 60 minutes of content with the remaining time available for in-session application of concepts. Professional staff attendees may range in experience from new to seasoned professionals and may be campus-based professionals or (inter)national office staff.
All program submissions must support the NGLA Mission and Vision.
 
* New * One application per program type is required
If your program applies to multiple educational experiences, please submit an application for each program type that you would like to be considered.
 
Applications are due Monday, September 21, 2020. All program presenters are required to register for the 2021 NGLA Virtual Conference.
