Last month we were excited to announce a joint partnership with the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) and North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) to bring council officer training to students at the NGLA Annual Conference. The original announcement can be found here. See the FAQ for more information.
In this pilot year of the program, specific campuses will be invited to participate. This is due to limited educational breakout space of the conference and our desire to slowly grow the program over time. Participating campuses will be able to sign up through the conference registration form. |

NGLA is excited to once again offer our Conference Sponsorship Program for the 2017 Conference. The purpose of the NGLA Conference Sponsorship Program is to offer our partners an opportunity to generate additional interest in their organization, and meet face to face with college students who are leaders within their fraternity and sorority community and their advisors.
NGLA sponsorship is for all partners, whether it is for a non-profit or for-profit organization. This program allows our partners to build their sponsorship program of choice through an a la carte menu of overall conference sponsorship and individual programs throughout the conference. We offer special pricing for our non-profit partners; please inquire about this opportunity. If you would like more information about this program please contact Thea Zunick.
Visit our sponsorship website for more information and to register as a sponsor. Hurry - some program sponsorship opportunities are going fast! |

NGLA Award Applications are now open! NGLA is proud to recognize chapters, councils, and communities with the Amy Vojta Impact Awards in eight different categories: academic achievement, chapter development and leadership, membership recruitment/intake, multicultural initiatives/programming, civic engagement, public relations, and risk reduction. Individuals can submit for these awards through a google form. The committee has also created an Advisor Approval online form to make approving all of the submissions coming from individual campuses easy on the campus professional. This year, the committee will be sending out this form directly to the campus professionals AFTER their students have submitted awards. Both of these forms will be able to be found on the Awards section of the NGLA website.
NGLA is also proud to recognize many individuals, both students and fraternity/sorority professionals, through five separate awards. Applications for the Josette Kaufmann Health and Wellness Award, Bonnie Wunsch NGLA Outstanding Volunteer Award, the Greek Leaders of Distinction Award, Philippi Award for campus professionals, and the Guenzler Award for volunteers or staff professionals of fraternity/sorority organizations, are also able to be found on the Awards section of the NGLA website.
Award applications are due January 18, 2017 at 5:00pm EST.
The Award Committee is excited to announce a new initiative to bring education and awareness around the NGLA Awards application process directly to students and staff members. We will be offering two NGLA Awards Information webinars to help spread education on the award types and application process. We hope that these webinars will make the awards process more accessible to everyone! Please be on the lookout for a follow up email with more information!
The entire Awards Committee is looking forward to see what good work has been accomplished this year throughout the northeast and are looking forward to reading all of the applications and nominations. If there are any questions regarding the awards process, please do not hesitate to contact Taylor Mahanna, NGLA Awards Committee Chair and Ryan Cole, NGLA Awards Committee Assistant Chair. |

As we find ourselves in the middle of the fall semester, we also find ourselves closer to our annual conference. This year, the Social Media team wants to help highlight those students, organizations, councils, and communities who are going above and beyond, and really making a difference on their campuses and in their surrounding communities. Please feel free to share any and all things positive that your students are doing on our page, as we want to be able to show our students that we recognize and appreciate all the good they do. At the conference, we will award the groups who are highlighted most frequently, or who have made the biggest impacts.
Additionally, please encourage your students to join the NGLA Student Chat group, where they can also highlight what they've been doing, in hopes of promoting positive conversations and an exchange of best practices.
