Green Bay Packers' first stock sale in 10 years begins Tuesday at $300 a share
GREEN BAY PRESS GAZETTE

GREEN BAY – The sixth Green Bay Packers stock sale, the first opportunity in a decade to buy shares in the team, begins at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The Packers said Monday they will sell 300,000 shares at $300 each plus handling fee. The sale is restricted to residents of the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The sale will continue to Feb. 25, 2022, but could be extended.

Regulatory approval is on a state-by-state basis. The Packers indicated in their release Monday that some states have not yet done so, but did not say which states or when approval might be expected...

Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport launches therapy dog program

GREEN BAY -- Passengers traveling through Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport will experience some puppy love starting today.

The new four-legged friends are meant to bring smiles and calm fears.

“Today we are officially launching our pet therapy program called PawsAero,” explains Airport Director Marty Piette.

Four certified therapy dogs and their volunteer handlers will be a common sight around the airport.

Dozens more Afghan evacuees expected in Green Bay over next few months

GREEN BAY  — A local refugee resettlement agency could receive more than 100 Afghan refugees in the coming months.

Karmen Lemke, director of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Green Bay, said their team expects to welcome a total of up to 125 Afghan evacuees between now and the middle of February. She said so far they've received 28 Afghan refugees, including individual males, families and expectant parents....

MANITOWOC - Nearly 40 downtown Manitowoc storefront windows will be "aluminized" this holiday season when Evergleams on Eighth sparkles the center of town.

From Thanksgiving through the New Year, more than 40 different sizes, styles and colors of vintage aluminum Christmas trees will return home to the city where they were manufactured for their Christmas debut in 1959.

Several local collectors will be sharing their Evergleam trees, the brand name used by Aluminum Specialty Company. Their collections number more than 400 trees, including some very seldom seen and rare varieties. Numerous color wheels and rotating tree stands, also manufactured by Aluminum Specialty, will illuminate the trees as they were designed to do during the early 1960s....
