Businesses across every industry struggled during 2020 as the coronavirus pandemic, labor shortages and supply chain issues caused companies to shift strategies to fill the needs of their customers.
Despite the difficulties, some companies found a way to grow during 2020.
In 2019, Racine-based SC Johnson and Son was the fourth largest company in the state by revenue according to the annual Wisconsin 75 list of private and closely held companies prepared by consulting firm Deloitte.
Last year, SC Johnson jumped to the second largest company in the state, behind Northwestern Mutual, Deloitte said. In February, Northwestern Mutual announced it had $31.1 billion in revenue during 2020....

More than 100 college students from throughout Wisconsin and Upper Michigan converged Thursday on Lambeau Field for a chance at a paid internship.
It's all part of the 7th annual “Internship Draft Day,” co-sponsored by the NEW Manufacturing Alliance and the Northeast Wisconsin Educational Resource Alliance.

UW-Green Bay's 'BIPOC Rise' program aims to improve retention rates among students of color

GREEN BAY — UW-Green Bay has launched a new peer mentor program to help improve retention rates among students of color. The univeristy's BIPOC Rise program is aimed at providing support for freshman of color by pairing them with a mentor.

Door County Economic Development Corporation launches Creator's Clue," a game designed to get Door County students familiar with local manufacturers
DOOR COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
STURGEON BAY - Students at Southern Door and Washington Island High Schools kicked off a month-long game playing Creator's Clue--a game to help students learn more about manufacturing and their community.
Students were given clues to nine manufacturers and had to research companies and clues to try to determine who their Mystery Manufacturer was. For those students that guess correctly, they advance to create a promotional piece
for the company, which is later judged and entered into a competition to receive cash prizes donated by Renard’s Cheese and Therma-Tron-X.
The game, which was created by the Door County Economic Development Corporation (DCEDC), is designed to get students engaged in the manufacturing sector, learn about their products and careers, learn some interesting facts
