SHEBOYGAN COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORP

RANDOM LAKE — WoodgeniX will undergo a 25,000 square foot expansion this spring, bringing their facility to 50,000 square feet. WoodgeniX (formerly Schu Industries) is a Random Lake-based design and manufacturing company that creates high-quality wood case goods and furniture for clients in hospitality, long-term care, residential, and point of purchase markets both nationally and internationally.

The project will consolidate two of their existing plants, bringing all their operations under one roof. WoodgeniX will no longer rent Wayne Schueller's 35,000 square foot downtown Random Lake site, leaving the space available for other businesses to rent...

OCONTO – Tractor Supply Co. officially opened its new Oconto store on Oct. 2, a week after its “soft opening.”

Tractor Supply, which bills itself as “a rural lifestyle retailer,” offers a wide range of products, such as animal feed, pet food and supplies, propane, fencing, garden supplies and home supplies.

Indigenous People Day – October 11th

APPLETON – The sixth annual Indigenous Peoples’ Day Celebration at Lawrence University on Monday, Oct. 11 will feature the dedication of a new contemporary art sculpture and the renaming of the plaza between the Seeley G. Mudd Library and the Wriston Art Center.

The event, organized in collaboration with student members of LU Native Americans (LUNA), the Appleton Area School District’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team, and various departments across the Lawrence campus, will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The outdoor event is free and open to the public. It will feature an introduction to and dedication of the new Otāēciah (Crane) sculpture created by Oneida architecture professor Chris Cornelius. It also will include the renaming of the plaza as Kaeyes Mamaceqtawuk, which means “Ancient People That Move” in the Menominee language. Cornelius is an associate professor of architecture in the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s School of Architecture and Urban Planning..
