Artstreet makes the move to Ashwaubenon: Everything you need to know to navigate the new layout
GREEN BAY PRESS GAZETTE

ASHWAUBENON - The final weekend in August means Artstreet, and while its traditional spot on the calendar hasn't changed, its location has.

Mosaic Arts Inc., the nonprofit arts advocacy group behind the popular art fair and end-of-summer celebration, announced earlier this year it was moving Artstreet to Ashwaubomay Park, 2881 S. Broadway, in Ashwaubenon.

It’s a decision that caught many people by surprise, and it means visitors looking to sip a lemonade while browsing the works of their favorite artists or enjoy a beer and some live music will have new territory to navigate. There will be a earning curve for organizers and visitors alike...

Top BBQ cooks descend on Death's Door
DOOR COUNTY DAILY NEWS

DOOR COUNTY -- Some of the best barbeque you can taste in the entire country will be just a ferry ride away this weekend. While you will have to wait until Saturday to sample it, the hard work begins on Wednesday. That is when competitors can first check-in and start setting up for their residency at the Washington Island Airport. The meat they will be using will be inspected on Friday before a welcome party.

The public will be able to take part in the festivities on Saturday. In addition to visiting the different barbeque booths, there will also be children’s games, live music, and other activities. The first awards will be passed out at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, hours after entrants’ chicken, pork ribs, pork, and beef brisket need to be turned in. The competition will wrap up on Sunday as the competitors enter steak options, dessert, and Death’s Door Gin cocktail entries....
