Thank you for taking Parts One through Fifteen of our Coronavirus Disruption Survey. As citizens and businesses in the state of Wisconsin take measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, there are undeniable economic impacts. We are now distributing Part Seventeen (for August 2021) to businesses in our community to assess the economic hardship.

Shawano airport celebrates grand reopening Sunday

SHAWANO -- The Shawano airport celebrated its grand reopening Sunday.

The airport recently rehabilitated its primary runway and taxiway.

City leaders hope the $2.3 million investment brings more visitors and more businesses to the area.

"We're hoping to attract people to want to come to the community, maybe stay for the weekend, use our restaurants, our hotels, rent a pontoon, we've got ATVs going on all around the county and the city here," Shawano Mayor and airport commissioner Bruce Milavitz said....

New night event coming to NEW Zoo

SUAMICO -- The NEW Zoological Society is inviting everyone to attend a new event next month.

The society will host "GloWild!" at the NEW Zoo in Suamico. The event is set for Sept. 18 from 6-8 p.m.
