Pandemic accelerates local woman's WINEaLOT dream PRESS TIMES
GREENLEAF – WINEaLOT owner and operator Miranda Demske, 28, said she had every intention of moving slowly on her dream of opening a winery.
“We have a couple of fields over by our house and we always bailed them up for cash crop, and we got sick of doing it,” Demske said. “I decided, well, I like going out in the garden. I like harvesting and using the stuff in the kitchen. I like wine – how hard can it be? We’ll plant some grapevines, and learn how to make wine. I wanted to eventually take over all of the fields and ever so slowly learn how to make the wine, start producing.”...

Matt and Margaret Williams of Niagara didn’t plan to have a mushroom business. Their careers didn’t point to a future in farming.
Matt had traveled the country as an adventure sports guide and managed and consulted whitewater rafting companies throughout the U.S. He eventually landed in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, where he owned a whitewater rafting company. Margaret was a big city person, and after earning advanced business degrees, worked for larger corporations.
Thomas opens dog photography studio in Railyard

GREEN BAY – Local photographer Audrey Thomas believes every dog has a story to tell.
The 26-year-old Green Bay native has made it her life’s work to capture those stories through the lens of her camera, one four-legged friend at a time.
“A couple of weeks ago, my mom asked when dog photography became my dream job,” Thomas said. “And it kind of made me think. It really never was, because any time I entertained a thought, I would think, ‘Well, that is way too cool of a job to be real for that to be my thing.’”..
