Cana Island Lighthouse Reopens Friday, August 12!
DOOR COUNTY MARITIME MUSEUM

We are excited to announce that the Phase 4 restoration work at Cana Island is nearly complete and the lighthouse tower and keeper’s quarters will reopen to the public starting on Friday, August 12 at 10am!

Be among the first to see the magnificent restoration of the keeper’s quarters, and to climb the newly repainted 97 steps to the top of Door County’s most iconic lighthouse.

This project fulfills the goals of the Cana Island Light Station Historic Structures Report, published in September 2009, and will help to preserve public access to Cana Island for many future generations...

With a new Grand Chute clinic, Prevea Health expands presence in Fox Cities

GRAND CHUTE – Even with other health care providers already having a strong presence in the Fox Cities, Prevea Health thinks there's room for more.

In July, Prevea opened a new clinic at 3750 N. Investors Court, off Interstate 41 and Richmond Street. The 12,000-square-foot building, constructed with an approximate cost of $4.5 million, offers family medicine, urgent care and some specialties.

It's Prevea's second Fox Cities location, after it opened an Appleton office in 2019.

Dr. Ashok Rai, Prevea president and CEO, said company leaders were aware of the other health care providers near the new location but data showed the need of more physicians in the area..

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College instructors Heather Brusky and Karla Sampselle were honored on Tuesday with individual awards from the BayCare Clinic Foundation.

They received the BayCare Clinic Faculty Professional Development Award of the Year for their excellence in instruction, innovation in education, commitment to student achievement, advancement of curriculum and devotion to the health care profession.
