Professional Plating Inc (PPI) expands with new machine, emphasizes culture

BRILLION – Professional Plating Inc. (PPI) in Brillion has once again invested into its company with a new $4.3 million zinc rack plating machine that will increase production efficiency. 

PPI has been one of the crown jewel companies in Brillion since 1979 when it was started by Bob and Pat Endries. The plating and coating company emphasizes powder coating, rack and barrel zinc plating, and epoxy and acrylic e-coating. 

The company is constantly evolving with new chemistry, tooling and machinery. Beyond that, the company emphasizes culture to value its nearly 200 team members...

Sheboygan Strikes Deal for 100,000-Square-Foot Industrial Building as First Addition to SouthPointe Enterprise Campus
SHEBOYGAN PRESS 

SHEBOYGAN - Last week, the Sheboygan Common Council approved a development agreement with Sheboygan Southpoint Development, LLC, to build a 100,000-square-foot stucco and metal “spec” industrial building in the SouthPointe Enterprise Campus, which would be the first building in the business district.

The project is slated to be completed by Nov. 30, 2023, per the agreement with the city.

“The city is excited to see the development move forward, as there is a need for additional industrial/warehousing space and (for it) to be the first project in the new SouthPointe Enterprise Campus,” Chad Pelishek, director of planning and development for Sheboygan, said in an email to the Sheboygan Press.

OSHKOSH -- A $1 million grant will go toward addressing gender equity concerns in STEM academics at UW-Oshkosh.

The three-year National Science Foundation grant will be used across UW-Oshkosh’s three campuses in Fond du Lac, Fox Cities, and Oshkosh.

With the money, the UWO’s NSF ADVANCE grant team plans to create a web-based dashboard to build awareness and transparency and track progress related to gender inequities among faculty and instructional staff in the STEM disciplines across the campuses...

GREEN BAY - Muralist Nekoda Witsken knew she found what she was looking for when she saw a photo of Nativia Adams, a citizen of the Oneida Nation, and honed in on her nails.

Bank First has new board chairman, Manitowoc region president as merger nears

MANITOWOC - Bank First Corporation, parent company of Bank First, has announced leadership changes ahead of an August merger with Denmark Bancshares, Inc., parent company of Denmark State Bank.

The merger with Denmark Bancshares will happen Aug. 12 with Denmark State Bank offices in Denmark, Howard, Shawano and Whitelaw re-opening as Bank First on Aug. 15 and the Reedsville office re-opening on Aug. 16.

Denmark State Bank Bellevue and Lawrence offices will permanently close after normal business hours on Aug. 12. Those customers can access any other Bank First location starting Aug. 15....
