Rotary Shipyard Tour tickets available online now
DOOR COUNTY DAILY NEWS 

DOOR COUNTY — You can now order your tickets online to experience an insider’s view of the shipyard industry in Sturgeon Bay this September. The Rotary Club of Sturgeon Bay is again sponsoring the annual shipyard tours which are typically held the first Saturday in May. 

 The 28th annual event was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic and rescheduled for Saturday, September 11 this year. Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding, the Door County Maritime Museum, and CenterPointe Yacht Services will be opening their doors for tours. Specific one-hour time slots for tours at Bay Shipbuilding will be offered this year. Parking and bus services will be provided between the venues throughout the day. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children with only 1200 total tickets available. All proceeds from ticket purchases go toward Rotary Youth Interact charitable projects....

New North Region Stepping Up to the COVID-19 Challenge
WWBIC to Launch Resiliency Grant for Calumet Microenterprises
WISCONSIN WOMEN'S BUSINESS INITIATIVE

The Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) will launch the Resiliency Grant for NE WI Rural Microenterprises to assist microbusiness owners whose business has been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic/economic crisis.

Calumet County has approved $780,000 for small business assistance grants, as a result of a CDBG Coronavirus grant received from WI Department of Administration. These grants will range from $6,000 to $12,000 to each business. Grants can be used for assistance with, but not limited to, past due payroll, rent, lease or utility payments, business supplies, inventory, business operating expenses. Ineligible uses include construction of interior or exterior property as well as other non-COVID related business debt.

WWBIC will handle the application and distribution of the grants, as well as follow up technical assistance such as business coaching and mentorship opportunities. All information about this grant is available on WWBIC’s website...
