KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The buildout for the 43rd Ryder Cup has begun at Whistling Straits, with no reduction in the original number of corporate chalets or the size of the grandstands.

Unless there is a drastic setback in terms of the waning coronavirus pandemic, the tiny Town of Haven, Wisconsin, is going to see one heck of a celebration of golf in September, with the full daily complement of some 40,000 fans cheering their lungs out during the biennial matches.....

STURGEON BAY - The view of the city, from 118 feet above ground, impressed Tony and Jen Meeuwsen.

Tony Meeuwsen had previously been in the Jim Kress Maritime Lighthouse Tower at the Door County Maritime Museum as construction project manager for The Boldt. Co., which was in charge of building the structure.

But Saturday, the De Pere man was on-hand with his wife and family for the christening of the 10-story tower that overlooks the channel cutting through Sturgeon Bay...

Green Bay students gain more than hands-on experience in yearlong construction project

GREEN BAY -- Green Bay School District's Bridges Construction and Renovation Program teaches students how to do home renovations. It's one of a handful of classes that has been taught in-person all year long.

FOX 11 checked in on the project back in December, and returned to see the almost-finished house.

Just a few months ago the house being built almost entirely by Green Bay High School students had a couple of missing pieces. There was only foundation, and a floor and walls for the first level.....

Bus and train routes connecting Northeast Wisconsin to Milwaukee and Chicago will resume full schedule next week.

Starting May 23, Amtrak Midwest is restoring all Hiawatha Service round-trips between Milwaukee and Chicago and the twice daily round-trip Amtrak Thruway Buses between Green Bay and Milwaukee, with stops in De Pere, Appleton, Oshkosh and Fond du Lac...

Northeast Wisconsin colleges prepare the next generation of cyber warriors

GREEN BAY - Recent cyberattacks have exposed vulnerabilities not only on a national scale, but also locally with a school district the victim of ransomware.

That district was Tigerton schools in Shawano County were it recently had to cancel classes.

While the superintendent told Action 2 News the incident is under federal investigation and can’t comment, the district stated on its Facebook page it was the “victim of a sophisticated ransomware attack” that limited its ability to access district systems.....
