Navy gives Marinette Marine contract for second guided-missile frigate

The U.S. Navy awarded a contract to Fincantieri Marinette Marine for a second Constellation-class guided-missile frigate, even before the first Constellation-class guided-missile frigate goes into fabrication.

Marinette Marine announced Thursday the Navy was exercising an option to build the second guided-missile carrier at a cost of $553.8 million.

Fabrication of the first modern guided-missile frigate is planned to start late this year for delivery in 2026....

GREEN BAY – Fork Farms has been a signature business in the Titletown Tech in Green Bay and last month it was officially certified as a qualified new business venture by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC).

Downtown Kaukauna hotel and housing project gain traction

KAUKAUNA -- Some big changes could be coming to downtown Kaukauna, where a proposed hotel and condo project is gaining traction.

Thursday afternoon, the city’s plan commission approved a preliminary design plan.

On the site of what was once a former car dealership near the intersection of Lawe Street and Wisconsin, now has a lot of potential as Kaukauna city officials review renderings of a 67-unit, 3-story hotel, and 101-unit, 5-story apartment complex....

MANITOWOC -- The S.S. Badger Lake Michigan Carferry is back in the water following a turbulent 2020.

The ferry departed Manitowoc at 3 p.m. for Ludington, Mich., on its maiden voyage of the season Thursday. The Manitowoc-area community welcomed the ferry at the dock at S. Lakeview Dr.
