The Roundtable events are for all businesses interested in global trade and will provide a confidential forum where participants are open to discuss the challenges they face as it relates to international trade, logistics, and business development.....

Delayed by pandemic, Aurora Health Center expansion moves along with inpatient, emergency services
FOND DU LAC REPORTER   

FOND DU LAC – Construction is set to begin on new hospital and emergency facilities in Fond du Lac, and Advocate Aurora Health anticipates accepting inpatients by 2024.

The expansion of Aurora Health Center, 210 Wisconsin American Drive, was announced in 2020 but delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 70,000-square-foot project is now estimated to cost $74 million and will add an eight-bay emergency department and 10 new patient beds, for a total of 185,000 square feet of clinical space, according to a news release from Advocate Aurora....

SHAWANO – Marion Body Works, A leading national manufacturer of commercial truck bodies, fire & emergency apparatus, custom cabs, custom engineered vehicles, and defense bodies, announces plans for expansion. This milestone marks an exciting new chapter in the company’s 117 year history of family ownership.

As of May 1, Marion Body Works has acquired additional manufacturing space located in Shawano, WI, just 22 miles east of their main headquarters. The building encompasses 113,000 square feet of manufacturing space and the adjacent 7,000 square foot office includes 2 training rooms, employee lounge, and numerous meeting/conference rooms. The next few months will involve executing plans to transition the commercial truck body product line to the Shawano facility. The company is targeting fall of 2022 for full production at the new location...

“It’s really exciting and I’m really happy. I just did not think I’d be here today,” said one graduate.

“My mom and dad were a very big reason that I did what I did. They were my number one support system,” said Kelly Lamas Flores.

People of Progression's first Hip Hop Health Fair brings safe, welcoming health resources to the Appleton area's Black community
APPLETON POST-CRESCENT 

GRAND CHUTE - Members of the Black community in the Fox Cities got a chance to meet with health care professionals, including massage therapists, movement specialists and personal trainers, in a more relaxed setting Saturday.

The Hip Hop Health Fair, held at Wisconsin Academy of Sports, 3375 W. College Ave., provided a chance to learn about resources available.

“We wanted to have an environment just for Black people to feel safe and give them the health care resources that they have been kept away from because the health community traditionally has not been built for us,” said Kristen Gondek, who co-founded People of Progression, the Fox Valley community advocacy organization that hosted the event, with Taperz Barber Shop owner Cainan Davenport....

Door County Y receives $2 million donation

DOOR COUNTY -- A $2 million donation to the Door County Y aims to keep an expansion project on track.

The Y announced the donation from Jackie and Steve Kane on Friday. The couple donated to the Y's fundraising campaign earlier, but say they made the second donation because they learned increased material costs had changed the timeline of the project.

Y leaders say the donation will help fund social gathering spaces, an expanded wellness center, new youth activity center, kitchen, outdoor classroom and increased accessibility...
