UW-Green Bay College Draft Day at Lambeau Field returns

GREEN BAY — Following a two-year hiatus, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is hosting College Draft Day at Lambeau Field.
UWGB said in a press release that more than 100 local high school students had the opportunity to participate in the free event Friday.

Kewaunee receives business park funding

DE PERE -- You may soon see a business park pop up in the City of Kewaunee thanks to a recent grant.
Former Mayor Jason Jelinek announced earlier this week that the City of Kewaunee was rewarded with an Economic Development Administration grant for $1.9 million. According to the U.S. Economic Development Administration, the grant is a part of a program offering assistance to Nuclear Closure Communities. The grant would support the construction of a new business park on the northern end of Kewaunee that would allow the city to attract new businesses and help existing ones expand. Sewer and water, streets and curbs, and lighting are all a part of the project. Along with a match of over $488,000, Kewaunee officials estimate the investment will create 31 jobs, save another 10, and leverage $2.7 million in private investment...

Green Bay receives grant to create roadmap to reach its energy goals by 2050

GREEN BAY – The city of Green Bay says it's one step closer to creating a plan to hit its energy goals.
The city announced Friday, it received $80,000 through the PSC Energy Innovation Grant program.
The money will be used to formulate a roadmap for the city to reach 100% clean energy by 2050.
The city, along with Green Bay Water Utility and Green Bay Metro Transit, will first seek community input, then it will work with consultants and UW-Green Bay students to collect energy usage data...
