Multicultural Coalition, Inc. hosts COVID-19 pop-up vaccination event at Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
MULTICULTURAL COALITION

APPLETON – A free COVID-19 vaccination event is being held on Thursday, April 21 from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. at Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, located at 2600 Phillip Lane in Appleton (map). A follow-up clinic will be offered on Thursday, May 12 at the same location from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.

The goal of the clinic is to make access to COVID-19 vaccinations and booster shots easy and convenient for families and children ahead of the busy summer season. This will also be the first vaccination event where the eco-friendly teddy bears donated by SonoHealth and Bears for Humanity will be handed out to children receiving a vaccine..

Spectrum begins construction on Broadband Network Expansion in Winnebago and Fond du Lac counties
CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS     

APPLETON — Spectrum today announced construction is underway on several fiber-optic network expansion projects that will bring gigabit broadband and other Spectrum services to 1,300 homes and small businesses in Winnebago and Fond du Lac Counties.

The buildout is part of Spectrum’s approximately $5 billion investment in unserved rural areas, which includes $1.2 billion won in the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) auction. The company’s RDOF expansion will provide broadband access to approximately 1 million customer locations as estimated by the FCC across 24 states in the coming years...

The WIAA boys golf tournament is moving from Madison to Meadows Valley at Blackwolf Run in Kohler for this year’s tournament in June.

University Ridge, the home course of the University of Wisconsin Badgers golf team in Madison, has hosted the state boys golf tournament from 1994 to 2019 through the COVID-19 pandemic. The WIAA has an agreement to play at University Ridge through 2025. The Boldt Company announces executive promotions

DE PERE — Doug Dulin has been appointed Vice President of Strategy Development. In this role, he will support Boldt’s senior leadership team in developing organizational strategy for the construction services firm.
