Truck driver shortage reaches crisis level

Wisconsin workers see apprenticeships as solution to labor shortage
THE CAP TIMES As a single mother, Jenny Conrardy took up an apprenticeship through Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac to make ends meet. Even with a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison under her belt, she felt she needed to go back to school to get a better income. Pursuing an industrial electrician apprenticeship allowed her to work and learn at the same time. As Wisconsin’s workforce shortage continues and the state’s population ages, Conrardy sees it as a viable option to solve the problem, offering benefits for both employees and employers. .. Leaders tour new Brown County landfill during open house
WLUK TOWN OF HOLLAND -- County leaders got a look inside the new Brown County South Landfill Monday. The landfill is part of a tri county partnership with Outagamie and Winnebago counties. Samaritan Counseling Center expands with new facility as demand for services increases

MENASHA - Madison Olszewski, a sophomore at Menasha High School, has been drawing for most of her life.
It wasn't until Maplewood Middle School that she really started to hone her craft, thanks to a "really great" art teacher, Michael Webb, she said.
