Appleton airport breaks travel record for the month of March

GREENVILLE -- The Easter weekend is expected to be a busy time for people looking to travel and it comes as the Appleton International Airport breaks its all time record for the most passengers, even as the price for airfare goes up.
Airport officials we spoke to, say March was their busiest month ever, with more than 84,000 passengers coming and going, which is a sign that people want to vacation.
It’s likely one of the many factors also driving up the price of tickets.

Cathy Hedge is the owner of Ivy Trails in Green Bay. She says in the last couple of years, the interest in home gardening has grown exponentially.
"Pretty much vegetable sales, and that type of thing have been pretty flat the last few years before that. But the last two years with people being at home, they’ve welcomed the chance to grow some of their own food at home," Hedge said...

Sturgeon Feast Pow Wow and celebration returns

KESHENA — A cultural celebration is back as the Menominee tribe celebrated the return of the sturgeon to their ancestral spawning grounds on the Wolf River.
This is the first time in two years this celebration has been put on due to the pandemic. The Sturgeon Pow Wow took place on the reservation. It's meant to bring tribal members together, as many consider this their “New Year”.

BRUSSELS - Southern Door Elementary School teacher Jessica Meacham is a finalist for the 2022 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.
The award is considered the highest honor given by the U.S. government for science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or computer science teachers.
