OSHKOSH -- How is the Oshkosh community building its future leaders? By supporting its children, for starters.
Construction is underway at the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh, 501 E. Parkway Ave., to double the size of the club and help it support more youth daily.
Since 1970, the club has helped area children and teens with services that target academic, health and basic needs, as well as programs involving art, recreation, leadership and life skills. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced High Cliff State Park Marina in Sherwood and South Bay Marina in Green Bay will receive Boating Infrastructure Grants (BIG). High Cliff State Park Marina received a Tier 1 grant of $200,000 for culvert replacement. The existing culvert that delivers runoff from Butterfly Pond into the boat basin at the marina has degraded over time, leading to sedimentation and a decrease in draft depth and water clarity... Expansion and Business Development in the New North Grande Cheese purchases former Northeastern Wisconsin cheese plant APPLETON POST-CRESCENT CHILTON -- Grande Cheese Company, a manufacturer of Italian cheese, announced Wednesday that it acquired the former Foremost Farms cheese plant in Chilton. Grande Cheese Company manufactures several lines of cheese for pizzerias and restaurants and provide specialty whey products to international food and beverage manufacturers. In May 2020, Foremost Farms USA announced it would close its Chilton cheese plant location, stating that making long-term investments into the plant would no longer benefit the company strategically...
