Promote the Regional Brand Brown County, Packers to Raise $1M for Youth Scholarships Northeast WI Technical College GREEN BAY (March 22, 2021) – The Brown County Children’s Charity Golf Classic and the Green Bay Packers announce their goal of raising $1 million to establish an endowment with Northeast Wisconsin Technical College for at-risk youth living in our community, beginning with this year’s outing scheduled for September 2021.
“There is a significant need to address equity access to higher education in Brown County and our partners are taking necessary steps to increase opportunities for youth,” says Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach. “Through Brown County’s human services divisions, we witness that children who struggle often times go down the wrong path. We hope to provide an avenue to quality, post-secondary education to enrich their lives while improving diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.”
Beginning in 2004 as part of a condition in a lease agreement with the Packers use of Nitschke Field, the Brown County Children’s Charity Golf Classic is a fundraising event underwritten, planned and operated by Brown County with meaningful participation from the Packers to benefit children’s services as determined by Brown County. UW Oshkosh-Center for Customized Research and Services is following up their monthly Covid-19 Economic Impact surveys with a virtual event titled "Lessons Learned in a Pandemic World: The Impact of COVID-19 on Business Owners".
UWO-CCRS conducted surveys in partnership with WEDC, New North and the eight other regional economic development organizations in Wisconsin. We were able to collect important data right from the beginning of the pandemic and want to share the important lessons we learned over the past year as well as share the opportunities and resources that are available to businesses going forward.

Evers Hosts Badger Bounceback Live Session on Healthcare Affordability and Accessibility in Wisconsin Office of the Governor MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers will this week host the second of six virtual Badger Bounceback Live Sessions to discuss his 2021-23 budget proposal. As highlighted in a video message from the governor, the listening session will cover topics including expanding access to quality, affordable healthcare, protecting people who have pre-existing conditions, investing in mental health services, expanding BadgerCare, and investing in caregiving and long-term care for aging and older adults and people with disabilities.

Expansion and Business Development in the New North Green Bay Packaging New Recycled Paper Mill Begins Production Green Bay Packaging Green Bay Packaging Inc. is proud to announce that the first reel of paper was produced at its new paper mill in Green Bay, WI on March 11, 2021. This significant milestone comes two and a half years after breaking ground. This success is the first step to reaching full production capacity. The $500+ million investment has had a profound, positive impact on Northeast Wisconsin’s economy and the environment. Encourage Educational Attainment UWO to hold 4 in-person commencement ceremonies in May WLUK OSHKOSH (WLUK) -- For the first time in over a year, the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh will honor its recent graduates with in-person commencement ceremonies.
In an email sent to students Friday, UW-Oshkosh Chancellor Andrew Leavitt says the university will hold four ceremonies May 15 at Kolf Sports Center.

Promote the Regional Brand Lakeshore Technical College instructor receives national recognition WFRV CLEVELAND, Wis. (WFRV) – The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) awarded the 2021 Dale P. Parnell Faculty Distinction Recognition to Lakeshore Technical College’s Jeremy Pagel.
According to officials, Pagel is a sociology instructor and will be virtually recognized along with 22 other faculty around the county on May 20.
