Brown County United Way takes human services on the road after receiving its biggest grant ever
GREEN BAY PRESS GAZETTE

GREEN BAY -- People in Brown County who have the hardest time getting assistance will soon have human services literally rolling into their neighborhoods.

A new initiative that Brown County United Way is calling a mobile resources connector will bring a bevy of human services to communities in the form of a passenger van, an RV and a semi-truck with a trailer.

"It is all about making sure that every member of our community feels that they belong," Robyn Davis, president and CEO of Brown County United Way, said. "We need to get outside our building and make sure folks in our community feel a connection to the services we offer."

DATCP Accepting Applications for Buy Local, Buy Wisconsin
Grants Through April 2

WI DEPT OF AGRICULTURE, TRADE AND CONSUMER PROTECTION

MADISON -- The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) is accepting applications for 2022 Buy Local, Buy Wisconsin (BLBW) grants through April 2, 2022. DATCP will award a total of up to $300,000 in BLBW grant funding in 2022.

BLBW is a competitive grant program designed to strengthen Wisconsin's agriculture and food industries by helping farms and businesses more efficiently process, market, and distribute locally grown food products. BLBW grants provide consumers with access to more Wisconsin-grown food products, including organic vegetables, hops varieties, hazelnut products, locally grown grain, and other value-added products...
