Angel was hesitant to leave his mother's side when he first walked into Little Bluejays Preschool at Menasha High School, clinging to her during story time. But within 15 minutes, that all changed.

Neenah marks 150 years as a city with treasure hunt, birthday cake, music and more

NEENAH - Plans are underway for the city's 150th birthday party and all residents — more than 27,000 people — are invited to participate.
Some activities already have started, such as a weekly treasure hunt for commemorative medallions hidden by Neenah police, but the festivities really will ramp up with a Celebration Kick-off on March 13.

Village of Little Chute receives grant to improve parks

LITTLE CHUTE – The village of Little Chute recently received a $2,000 grant to plant new foliage under the signs at the Van Lieshout and Legion Parks.
Parks, recreation, and forestry director for the village John McDonald says, “[The Van Lieshout Park] was established in the early 2000s where the foliage has overgrown and it tended to grab a lot of debris and garbage, and it was time to make a change.”..

Oconto Riviera wedding venue gets 'permanent' permit instead of trial basis

OCONTO - The Oconto Riviera has gotten the green light from the city to stay around as long as it likes.
The Oconto City Plan Commission passed a conditional use permit Feb. 9, allowing the venue that offers barn weddings along the Oconto River to keep operating.
