NEENAH – Menasha Corporation today announced that James M. Kotek will retire from his position as President and Chief Executive Officer in March. The Menasha Corporation Board of Directors has appointed Christopher D. Drees to succeed Kotek effective March 13, 2023. Drees will also join the Menasha Corporation Board on that date.

As one of the Fox Valley's first enclosed shopping malls began to decline in the 2000s, it threatened to leave a major vacancy along the downtown Oshkosh riverfront.

The former Park Plaza Mall opened in the 1970s, and was once home to major retailers like JCPenney and Montgomery Ward. It was home to more than 70 storefronts in its prime. But it began to decline as development along the Interstate 41 corridor caused many retailers to relocate in the mid-2000s.

In response, a group of local developers came together to revitalize the former mall in the late 2000s, when it was sold to new owners....

The survey asked local business leaders to reflect on business challenges and results in 2022 and forecast what they expect in 2023.

With the Department of Workforce Development reporting the Oshkosh unemployment rate at 1.9% in December 2022, its not surprising workforce shortages are one of the top areas of concern. Oshkosh-based businesses employ 41,411, up from 40,748 last year....

GREEN BAY— The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Rising Phoenix Early College High School Program continues to gain momentum with a new partnership between Algoma, Kewaunee, and Luxemburg-Casco high schools in Kewaunee County.

Current high school sophomores from those schools will have the opportunity to apply for the Rising Phoenix Program.
