Wisconsin Tech Summit 'speed dates' for emerging companies
WISCONSIN TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL

Emerging companies may apply through Feb. 22 to meet with major firms and explore potential business relationships around technology needs and innovation as part of the 10th annual Wisconsin Tech Summit, which will take place in-person at Green Bay’s Lambeau Field on March 20. 

The Tech Summit will feature a series of brief meetings, or “speed dates,” to foster communication and partnership. It is produced by the Wisconsin Technology Council. Participating major firms thus far are: Advocate Aurora Research Institute, American Family Insurance, Findorff, Google, J.P. Morgan, Kimberly-Clark, Kwik Trip, OEM Fabricators, Oshkosh Corp., Promega, Rockwell Automation, RSM US, Schreiber Foods, Shive-Hattery Architecture + Engineering and TitletownTech. Oshkosh Distillery combining craft drinks with rich Sturgeon tradition

Twisted Warrior yoga studio extends business to breathing sessions -- with a salty twist

FOND DU LAC – Did you ever think breathing in salty air could be good for you? Downtown Fond du Lac has a new spot to try it out.

The Salty Dog will offer salt therapy sessions daily at 15 N. Main St., above Gathered Roots, guided by owner Lucy Mathers, who also runs infrared yoga studio Twisted Warrior with a team of instructors.

The salt therapy, also called halotherapy, is conducted in two kinds of sessions — sitting and breathing or practicing restorative, easy yoga — while a halogenerator mills and warms pharmaceutical-grade salt very finely and fans it into the air, Mathers said.

TitletownTech invests in Chicago entrepreneur with Wisconsin roots
WISCONSIN INNO 

Green Bay venture capital firm TitletownTech has invested in Chicago-based supply chain startup Tusk Logistics as part of the startup's $1.6 million pre-seed funding round.

It's TitletownTech's second publicly announced investment out of its second venture fund. The firm was looking to raise $80 million for that fund, according to Wisconsin Inno reporting and a June 2022 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Tusk Logistics co-founder and CEO Ben Emmrich noted in a statement Thursday that he was born and raised near Madison. His LinkedIn profile says he attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and previously led operations and strategic partnerships at Google Shopping and the e-commerce shipping solutions firm Shippo...
