Jan. 13 sessions being held for companies interested in European exporting
NEW NORTH, INC. 

NEW NORTH – Companies interested in growing their presence in Europe through exporting are encouraged to attend one of two informational sessions – Grow in Europe through Exporting – being held in the New North region on Jan. 13, 2022. The meetings, which are being offered in person and virtually, are made possible through a partnership between New North Inc., its local partners and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC).

The Jan. 13 morning session will be held from 8:30-10 a.m. at the UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan campus, at 1 University Drive in Sheboygan. The day’s afternoon session is being conducted from 12 noon-1:30 p.m. at the Bordini Center of Fox Valley Technical College, at 5 N. Systems Drive in Appleton; lunch will be provided to the in-person Appleton attendees...

DC Arts Center breaks ground in Sturgeon Bay as permanent home for Rogue Theater

STURGEON BAY - Stuart Champeau and Lola DeVillers have sought a permanent home for their local community theater troupe ever since it was founded nine years ago. Now, after a couple of dashed hopes, the dream is on schedule to become real.

Champeau and DeVillers, the co-founders and co-artistic directors of Rogue Theater, broke ground Dec. 30 for construction of the new DC Arts Center on North 14th Avenue. If construction goes as planned, the center will open over Memorial Day weekend with Rogue staging performances of the Ernest Thompson play "On Golden Pond."...

Allouez Board discusses new development

ALLOUEZ – A development agreement with General Capital Acquisitions, LLC was approved by the Village Board Tuesday, Jan. 4 that will clear the way for two apartment buildings to go up at 1905 Webster Avenue.

The development calls for about 125 residential units total, with retail space on the first floor of each building and space for outdoor seating. Once completed, the project is estimated to have an assessed value of $17.5 million.

“That amount is guaranteed,” Trustee Matthew Harris said. “The amount has been set and we know that we’ll have a certain amount of property taxes coming into the village.” The motion to approve the development agreement passed unanimously..
