As we mark our 75th anniversary, we launch “We Will Not Be Silent” — a call for the Church to continue bearing witness in a world that often neglects mercy and compasssion.
We will not be silent about peace, for Christ blesses the peacemakers. We will not be silent about justice, for God hears the cries of the oppressed. We will not be silent about love, for love is the heartbeat of the Gospel.
Join us as we remember the past, stand firm in the present, and look with hope toward the future God is building among us.

| | | | The Rev. Dr. Bridgett A. Green Named President and Publisher of Presbyterian Publishing Corporation | | LOUISVILLE — The Presbyterian Publishing Corporation board of directors announced the Rev. Dr. Bridgett A. Green as the new president and publisher. Green, who will retain the position of editorial director of Westminster John Knox Press, the main book imprint of PPC, has been the vice president of Publishing and editorial director since 2022 and the interim president since May.
In her new role, which she begins January 1, Green will guide the editorial development and all operations for the nearly 200-year-old press. She will also lead PPC’s executive staff as they continue to re-envision the press as an anti-racist publisher and organization and guide PPC’s future in a changing publishing and religious landscape.
The search committee interviewed a number of key PPC constituents —leaders in the PC(USA) and theological education — both for guidance for the search and to understand their hopes for the future of PPC and the next leader of the Press. These insights informed the board’s search for and vision of the next president and publisher. The vote to appoint Green was unanimous and enthusiastic. Green will be the first woman and the first African American to hold this position.

Woodson.
Imagine 100+ congregations and choirs across the nation uniting in worship through the singing of a new social justice hymn.
A National PSA & Hymn-sing Project As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary in 2026, NEWorks Productions is launching phase two of its FREEDOM ADVANCES campaign, an expansive civic initiative that confronts the unfinished promise of American democracy. Central to this phase is a new work that spotlights the Civil Rights Movement’s power to reshape the nation: Just Like Selma.
On “Bloody Sunday,” March 7, 1965, the nation recoiled in horror as state troopers brutally attacked peaceful protestors on Selma’s Edmund Pettus Bridge.
This history will be illumined anew through Just Like Selma, a stirring new social justice hymn inspired by King's ‘How Long, Not Long’ speech delivered on the steps of the Alabama State Capitol 60 years ago. Composed by Nolan Williams, Jr, the hymn echoes the sounds of Black church devotional songs and Civil Rights anthems. It will be released in time for the MLK national holiday in January 2026.
That release will be followed by the "Just Like Selma" Hymn-sing Project, engaging more than 100 churches, chapels, and choirs across the nation to program the hymn as part of their Black History Month observances. Just Like Selma is a call to remembrance and an urgent reminder that the work of perfecting our democracy is unfinished.
As new generations face renewed battles over democracy, access, and equality, Just Like Selma is a reminder that the courage and strategy of those who marched across the Edmund Pettus Bridge remain urgently relevant.

Photo courtesy CCC | Statement on Proclaiming Jubilee for People and Planet: Reflections on The Outcomes of the Cop30 Climate Change Conference and the G20 Leaders’ Summit by the WCC Executive Committee meeting in Hangzhou, China, November 20–25, 2025. The World Council of Churches (WCC) executive committee is meeting in Hangzhou, China, at a time in which humanity stands at an imponderably dangerous precipice, not only for ourselves but for the whole Living Planet.
Underneath all political and economic questions connected with the ecological crisis of our time, there are deeply spiritual and moral questions. As the message of the Ecumenical Peace Convocation of the WCC in Kingston, Jamaica, already stated in 2011, "the environmental crisis is profoundly an ethical and spiritual crisis of humanity. Recognizing the damage human activity has done to the Earth, we reaffirm our commitment to the integrity of creation and the daily lifestyle it demands." Pope Francis in his encyclical "Laudato Si" in 2015, quoting Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, has drawn attention to “the ethical and spiritual roots of environmental problems, which require that we look for solutions not only in technology but in a change of humanity.” (Laudato Si, par 9).
Seventeen hundred years after the ecumenical Council of Nicaea, we continue to be united through the creed expressing our belief in the triune God. We confess that “We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth”. We acknowledge that this Earth, and the intricate web of life that it so wonderfully and abundantly sustains, is God’s precious and unique Creation, crafted by God’s divine will. And yet, together with all humanity, by our profligate exploitation, negligence and abuse, we have brought this Living Planet to the verge of tipping points that imperil the natural systems on which our lives and those of all future generations depend. | | | CCA Executive Committee to Organize Major Events to Commemorate Platinum Jubilee | | CCA Executive Committee Members 2025 | Chiang Mai, Thailand: The Executive Committee of the Christian Conference of Asia (CCA) has decided to organize the commemoration of the Platinum Jubilee of CCA in 2027 and has planned major programs in conjunction with the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, including an Asia Mission Conference (AMC) and the Congress of Asian Theologians (CATS-XI).
The AMC and the CATS-XI will be organized in 2027 as part of a series of programs leading up to the Platinum Jubilee commemoration and thanksgiving, marking 70 years since CCA’s founding.
The CATS-XI, AMC, and commemoration of the Platinum Jubilee of CCA will be held from April 21–27, 2027.
The Executive Committee constituted a seven-member Planning Committee to prepare for the major programs in 2027. Details about the AMC venue and related events are forthcoming.
According to CCA General Secretary Dr. Mathews George Chunakara, the founding conference of the EACC in 1957, the forerunner of CCA, was itself an Asia Mission Conference with the theme “Our Common Evangelistic Tasks in Asia."
In its history, CCA has organized four AMCs so far: 1957 (Prapat, Indonesia), 1989 (Cipayung, Indonesia), 1994 (Seoul, South Korea), and in 2017 (Yangon, Myanmar), which was held in conjunction with the Diamond Jubilee of CCA.
Another AMC, after a 10-year interval, will be a breakthrough and new milestone in the history of the ecumenical movement in Asia, added the CCA General Secretary during the presentation of his report to the Executive Committee. | | | Armenian Assembly Hosts 2026 Winter Weekend in Delray Beach, Fla. | | The Armenian Assembly of America invites Assembly Members and guests to join them for the 2026 Winter Weekend, January 16-18, 2026, at the Opal Grand Resort in Delray Beach, Florida.
