Assalamu Alaykum Friend

It is my pleasure to share an incredible moment with you. 

It is an achievement that (after Allah’s help) has only been possible because of the support of our community. And the movement our work has become, Alhamdulillah.

It is now 10 years of NZF! Since 2013, our vision has been to aid the Muslim community in Australia through its most pressing needs. In this decade, we’ve been able to bring together all corners of the community – community leaders, partner organisations and specialists – to create change where it’s most needed through the power of Local Zakat.

But as we reflect in the coming weeks on what we have achieved, the real work still lies ahead in my view.

Friend I see our future as an independent, self-sufficient community, doing justice to this great obligation to bring Zakat’s potential to life.

And as we look forward to the next 10 years, we’ll continue to strive every day to build an independent, self-sufficient future for our community.

In the coming weeks, I will be speaking more to you about this. But for now, I want to thank you for being part of our journey to date, and look forward to having you as a supporter in what is to come.
