There is much more to Friday than the blessed Jumuah prayer that makes it special! The Prophet ļ·ŗ said: āThis is a day of āEid that Allah has ordained for the Muslimsā¦ā
On this blessed day, there are a plethora of good deeds that can be performed for maximum reward. One of the most special deeds to do on a Friday is to make duāa at the prescribed time.
The Prophet ļ·ŗ said āOn Friday there is an hour when, if a Muslims happens to pray at that time and ask Allaah for something good, He will give it to him.ā (Narrated by Bukhari & Muslim). Most scholars agree that this hour is the one between āasr and maghrib prayer.
What to do during this hour every Friday?
Given the abundant virtue, we should make concerted duāa for everything we need during this hour. Make dua abundantly, including for family, friends, the Australian Muslim community and the Ummah at large. It may be your duāa that is answered on this day and helps fulfil someoneās need!
To increase the chance of our duāa being accepted, we strongly encourage you to do good deeds and to use them as a way to appeal and petition to Allah. One of the greatest deeds with which to draw nearer to Allah is to give sadaqah.
