Aged Care Support at Home Funding

For Exercise Physiology and Physiotherapy

If you or someone you care for have Support at Home funding with Exercise Physiology or Physiotherapy in your clinical supports, you can choose to get out of the house and attend a clinic with more exciting and useful equipment than your lounge room or what the therapist can carry !

Seeing a therapist you may have seen before, who knows you or your family, can make the exercise experience so much more personal, friendly and enjoyable.

Exercising and rehab is hard enough, but we can try to make it a better experience.

Why visit the Clinic

There are some pretty good reasons to make the trip.
At Hindmarsh Physiotherapy, our rehabilitation gym gives you access to equipment  that allows us , and to properly challenge and progress your strength, balance, mobility and fitness. You can work towards getting stronger, staying independent and confident with everyday activities.

If its pain management thats needed, our Physiotherapists can deliver hands-on treatment, joint mobilisation, soft tissue theapy, and personalised exercise programs specifically targeting pain, arthritis, stiffness or post operative recovery.

Our dedicated treatment rooms  use height adjustable beds, firm supportive surfaces, easy accessablity for clients and therapists and equipment for pain mangement that cannot be transported into the home.

And it's not all about equipment.

Getting out of the house is good for you too. A regular trip to the clinic can help you stay active, maintain a routine and enjoy some social interaction.

We offer individual sessions as well as small exercise groups in a relaxed, friendly environment. Being onsite, your funding goes further as there are no travel fees.

Your funding is used for therapy not travel.

Best of all, you have a choice about who provides your care.

If you'd like to attend Hindmarsh Physio using your Support at Home funding, for Physio or Exercise Physiology, speak with your care coordinator and ask for us to be included in your care plan.

Exercise Physiology

Matthew is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with years of experience in fitness, aged care, community and chronic care exercise prescription. He has guided people of all ages and abilities facing varied health challenges. Bringing practical, safe, and achievable programs to everyone.

Every treatment plan is individualised, built around the client's goals, living environment, and available funding

Physiotherapy

Sara, David, Jack, Danni and Sid have an absolute wealth of experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, bringing not just clinical expertise, but genuine compassion and understanding of the unique needs of older clients.

Our approach is evidence-based and personalised. We begin each new client relationship with a comprehensive initial assessment covering mobility, strength, balance, pain levels, and functional goals.

From there, we develop a treatment plan that may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, balance training and education.

Whether it's mobility challenges, loss of strength or balance, we believe everyone deserves access to professional physiotherapy and exercise physiology in the best environment and best value for funding that can improve their quality of life.

If these clinical supports are under your Support at Home Package and approved in your care plan, there is no participant contribution. Its fully government funded. Approved clinical physiotherapy and exercise physiology is funded separately, meaning it does not chip away at your everyday living and personal care budget.

Your aged care provider needs to confirm that the service is approved in your support plan and can be arranged within your available funding.

We would be delighted to help you at this stage of your health, you can choose your preferred provider, and don't have to use the one suggested by your care coordinator.
