POVERTY IN PORTLAND

Poverty in all its forms has always been examined by photojournalists as a commentary on society at least since the days of Jacob Riis's "How the Other Half Lives" (1890) and later Lewis Hine. Povetry in Portland is part of a longer essay done by Jim R. Stroup (1972). Above is an image we call "One Way" (November 14, 1972). Choosing the right path could mean all the difference. Below is Stroup's image at house number 18 that we call "Doorway Chatter" (November 14, 1972). Licensing is based on usage. Please use DPI's "add to cart" to calculate your final cost.
