HISTORICAL COLLECTION:  THE OLD WEST

Locals standing in front of the general store. Original name of the
town was "Hangtown" for obvious reasons, and later changed to
Placerville.  Placerville, California c. 1885.
Travelers from Colorado on an Arizona desert road between Phoenix and
Yuma. Probably headed toward Phoenix as a Tijuana, Mexico sticker is
visible in the rear window.  "Road to Yuma" July 16, 1927.
